The Little Pee Dee is primarily between Marion and Horry
counties in South Carolina. It is approximately 116
miles long. A black water river with sandy bars and
beaches. Officially a "scenic river." It begins at Red
Bluff Lake near McColl, SC. For great kayaking use -
from confluence of the Lumber River, just south of
Nichols, SC, to the confluence with the Great Pee Dee
River. This is our favorite kayaking river!! Best when
water gage at Galivants Ferry reads 4 ft and below.
