Lake Jocassee is wonderful! The lake runs
for miles with the Whitewater, Thompson, Toxaway, and Horsepasture
Rivers feeding it. Laurel Fork also feeds it with Laurel Fork Falls
falling directly into it. The Foothills Trail crosses the northern
part via a swing bridge. We have camped and kayaked here many times.
By the way, the camp site shown below is illegal. It is about 10
miles from boat landing to the swing bridge. |
