One of our favorites! First
visit 1996, A wonderous place! Only 26 campsites, no RV's!
Talk about quiet, this is the place. It's in the Mount
Rogers Recreation Area in western Virginia. The
Appalachain Trail connects, about a mile away. No
electricity, no phones. We always tried to come here for a
week. scheduled 3 day trips out of the campground:
Grayson Highlands State Park, VA, Laurel Fork Falls, TN
and THE Virginia Creeper Trail, 34 miles long (think
bikes.) Each of these areas are also on our web site. |
